doors to hallways is a cheeky collection of riddles, mirrors, and doorways that never really lead anywhere, or perhaps perpetually point to somewhere else.
i hope it feels like wandering through a big house at night looking for the bathroom, which you're pretty sure is just around the corner, but instead, as you keep opening doors, you only find more doors, long hallways, and dead ends.
each scene is its own silly experiment in toying with the materiality of websites and their interfaces.
ca(p)tcha(s) escalates the absurdity of human verification prompts into a game of increasing difficulty. the internet is for cats and robots only!
doors to mirrors is a website haunted by ghosts and doubles. only in the mirror will you find your pointer's reflection.
doors to doors is filled with infinite doorways that never open to the same place. it's built on top of a trickster web server that never responds with the resource that was requested.
many thanks to theo ellin ballew from ORAL and to the countless friends i asked to play through these scenes as i giggled behind them and made notes about everything that didn't work as i expected. (there were a lot of notes!)
